摘要 <p>An HMT apparatus (&lt;Bold&gt;T&lt;/Bold&gt;) is mounted on a vehicle (&lt;Bold&gt;A&lt;/Bold&gt;). In the HMT apparatus (&lt;Bold&gt;T&lt;/Bold&gt;), input rotational force from an engine (&lt;Bold&gt;13&lt;/Bold&gt;) is once divided into two systems which are then transmitted by an MT device (&lt;Bold&gt;23&lt;/Bold&gt;) and by an HST device (&lt;Bold&gt;24&lt;/Bold&gt;) respectively and are re-synthesized for transfer toward wheels (&lt;Bold&gt;12&lt;/Bold&gt;) and (&lt;Bold&gt;16&lt;/Bold&gt;). The HMT apparatus (&lt;Bold&gt;T&lt;/Bold&gt;) is disposed on the vehicle-body right side of the engine (&lt;Bold&gt;13&lt;/Bold&gt;) which is sideways-mounted on a vehicle body (&lt;Bold&gt;1&lt;/Bold&gt;), and its input and output shafts (&lt;Bold&gt;25&lt;/Bold&gt;) and (&lt;Bold&gt;26&lt;/Bold&gt;) are disposed in parallel with a crank shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;13a&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the engine (&lt;Bold&gt;13&lt;/Bold&gt;) and are disposed to run parallel with each other. The input shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;25&lt;/Bold&gt;) is coupled directly to the crank shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;13a&lt;/Bold&gt;) and an input gear (&lt;Bold&gt;27&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the MT device (&lt;Bold&gt;23&lt;/Bold&gt;) is mounted on the input shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;25&lt;/Bold&gt;), and a hydraulic piston pump (&lt;Bold&gt;30&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the HST device (&lt;Bold&gt;24&lt;/Bold&gt;) is connected to the right side end of the input shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;25&lt;/Bold&gt;). A planetary gear mechanism (&lt;Bold&gt;28&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the MT device (&lt;Bold&gt;23&lt;/Bold&gt;) is connected to the right side end of the output shaft (&lt;Bold&gt;26&lt;/Bold&gt;), and a hydraulic piston motor (&lt;Bold&gt;31&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the HST device (&lt;Bold&gt;24&lt;/Bold&gt;) is connected to the right side of the planetary gear mechanism (&lt;Bold&gt;28&lt;/Bold&gt;). By virtue of such arrangement, it is possible to improve the degree of freedom of the layout of each component of the HMT apparatus (&lt;Bold&gt;T&lt;/Bold&gt;), to reduce axial dimensions, and further to provide improvement in the cooling property and maintenance property of the section of the HST device (&lt;Bold&gt;24&lt;/Bold&gt;). The casing (&lt;Bold&gt;81&lt;/Bold&gt;) of the HST is a separate structure of the HMT casing (&lt;Bold&gt;80&lt;/Bold&gt;) and this makes it possible to easily remove it from the HMT apparatus (&lt;Bold&gt;T&lt;/Bold&gt;).</p>
