<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a display using a self light emitting device and performing preferable display by suppressing changes in the luminance during blink driving. <P>SOLUTION: In a display device performing periodical blink driving, a light emission cycle is matched to about 1/n time of the vertical blanking period and to about 1/m time of the field period (wherein n and m are natural numbers of 1 or more), so that periodical continuity at the position and time of blink driving is maintained, and that changes in a light emission area of the display region and changes in the total current amount flowing to the display region can be suppressed. Thereby, changes in a power supply due to the presence of a power supply impedance can be suppressed regardless of the volume of the power supply impedance, and degradation in the picture quality associated with changes in the luminance caused by changes in the power supply can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
