Provided are a data transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: when a first sender detects a current transmission of a wireless frame on an operating channel, assessing, by the first sender, a signal attenuation condition between the first sender and a detected first receiver of the current transmission to obtain an assessment result, determining, by the first sender, a transmission power thereof according to the assessment result; and sending, by the first sender, a wireless frame to a second receiver using the determined transmission power. In the above solution, the first sender determines a transmission power thereof according to the assessment result, such that interference due to unequal transmission powers is reduced in a multiplex transmission process. |
