An array substrate and a preparation method therefor, and a display device. The array substrate comprises: a thin-film transistor, comprising an active region (4), a source/drain electrode (3) and a gate (2); a shading structure (1) disposed below the active region and made from a conductive material; and a storage capacitor, comprising a first pole piece (11) and a second pole piece (21) which are oppositely disposed at an interval, the first pole piece and the shading structure being disposed on the same layer, the second pole piece and any one of the active region, the source/drain electrode and the gate being disposed on the same layer. The problems of small area and small capacitance value of a storage capacitor in an existing array substrate are solved.
