This capsule-type endoscope (1) is equipped with: a capsule-type housing (2) that has an optical dome section (21) having a dome hemisphere section (21a) and a dome cylinder section (21b) which are formed from a translucent member, also has a cylindrical case section (22) having an opening on at least one end thereof, and houses an information acquisition member therein for acquiring test subject information, by fitting the dome cylinder section (21b) onto the outer-circumferential surface (22b) of the case section (22) on the opening side thereof; and a position-determining member (7) having a surface (71a) that abuts an end surface (22d) of the case (22) at the opening thereof, and a surface (71b) that abuts a cylindrical section (44c) of an optical unit (4), which is the information acquisition member. |
