A solid solution of average hydrated zinc and cobalt (II) phosphates, simultaneously containing in its composition zinc, cobalt (II), phosphorus. By its nature it is a solid substitutional solution with wide area of homogeneity, the content of zinc and cobalt in which is increased within 42.13-28.95 weight % of zinc, 0.64-13.05 mass % of cobalt (II), crystallized in orthorhombic syngony, space group Pnma with 4 formula units. Four molecules of crystallized water and two phosphate tetrahedrons produced make up the coordination environment of cations in octahedrons by the interaction at 40-70 °C and pH of 2.9-3.1 of mechanical mixture of zinc and cobalt (II) hydroxocarbonates, taken in mole ratio of K=Zn/Co=50.0-2.0, and 45-87 % solution of phosphate acid. |
