Disclosed are a character output method and apparatus, the method comprising: collecting trajectory points of a trajectory of movement of a terminal (S102); acquiring a first parameter and a second parameter of movement of the terminal according to the trajectory points (S104); and outputting characters corresponding to the first parameter and the second parameter when there is a matching of the first parameter and the second parameter with parameters stored in the terminal (S106). Through the method, the problem of incorrect click positions when characters are input by clicks on a touch screen in related arts is solved, and further the effect is achieved that users can input characters by means of gestures, without operating the screen. |
