A method of controlling a fan rotation speed via a fan board, and a device utilizing the same. The method comprises: when a fan operates normally, transmitting, by a fan administrating single board, a heartbeat signal to a control module on the fan board; and when detecting an abnormality in the heartbeat signal, controlling, by the control module, a fan to rotate according to a preconfigured rotation speed. The solution in the invention addresses a technical problem of a fan operating at a full speed owing to a fan board of a standalone CPU system being unable to automatically controlling a fan rotation speed during power-up initialization. |
