PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, method and system for transition piece contouring, which reduce damage, since a hot combustion gas flowing through a transition piece of a gas turbine subjects a duct structure to very high temperatures and can lead the duct structure to premature deterioration that requires repair and replacement thereof.SOLUTION: A high-temperature section and a low-temperature section of a transition piece area determined, and the low-temperature section is contoured before the high-temperature section. The low-temperature section of the transition piece may be contoured to intercept a hot gas flow.
