摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a crack at a carrier of an electric heating type catalyst.SOLUTION: A control device 200 of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine 100 as a power source, a heat generation body 35 which is held in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine 100, and generates heat by being carried with electricity, and a catalyst which is heated via the heat generation body 35, determines whether or not there is a warmup requirement for activating the catalyst on the basis of a temperature of the heat generation body 35 at a start of the engine, when there is the warmup requirement, heats the catalyst by exhaust heat without carrying electricity to the heat generation body 35 when an engine requirement output is not smaller than an exhaust temperature lowering requirement output which is defined on the basis of a temperature of the heat generation body 35 at the start of the engine, excessively injects fuel for lowering the exhaust temperature until the temperature of the heat generation body 35 which is heated together with the catalyst by the exhaust heat exceeds a temperature at which a temperature difference between an external peripheral part of the heat generation body 35 and an external peripheral vicinity of the inside rather than the external peripheral part becomes maximum, and operates the internal combustion engine 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
