METHOD FOR CALIBRATING BLOOD PRESSURE ESTIMATION PARAMETER, AND BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for estimating a blood pressure.SOLUTION: Peripheral blood pressure combination measurement is executed as different artery blood pressure combination measurement by combining blood vessel diameter measurement for measuring the diameter of a blood vessel as a vascular cross section index value of a central artery as a first artery with peripheral blood pressure measurement for measuring the blood pressure of a peripheral artery as a second artery. Then, the measurement results of the peripheral blood pressure combination measurement is used to calibrate a parameter (e.g. a blood vessel hardness parameter or a correlation parameter) relating to blood pressure estimation for estimating the central blood pressure based on the blood vessel diameter of the central artery.
