CAP ASSEMBLY OF SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A cap assembly of secondary battery is provided to prevent a leak of an electrolyte and improve an enclosing property of the battery by using a gasket at opening of a can. CONSTITUTION: The cap assembly(60) comprises a plate(62), a current limiter(12) and a cap cover(10) sequentially laminated. A current breaker(18) having an insulator(16) at lower part thereof is coupled to the cap assembly(60) by welding. The insulator(16) is hardly supported by a support plate(64). The plate(62) is surrounded to the support plate(64) and bent in inner direction. Since the contact area between the cap assembly(60) and the gasket(8) is increased, the enclosing property of the secondary battery is improved.
