<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a health drink or a health food excellent in a fragrance, a taste, a color tone, etc., by effectively utilizing stems and leaves of onions which are conventionally left, as they are, and wasted, because means for utilizing them are not found. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing onion tea comprises drying the stems and the leaves of the onion, spraying wood vinegar on surfaces of the stems and the leaves thereof in a foggy state, again drying the stems and the leaves, finely cutting them, parching them in a pot, and firing them. The onion tea is produced by the method. When the onion tea is utilized as the health drink, liquid sugar, a juice of a fruit, oligosaccharide, honey, dextrin, citric acid or a salt thereof, vitamin C, a spice, an edible dye, etc., are suitably mixed into an exudate of the onion tea. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
