<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a register according to a musical sound waveform obtained by sampling a musical sound while maintaining richness as the musical sound as to a waveform generating device which generates a musical sound waveform shifted in pitch according to the musical sound waveform obtained by sampling the musical sound. <P>SOLUTION: The musical sound waveform generating device is equipped with a waveform generating means of generating a plurality of musical sound waveforms whose pitches are in octave relation and which are mutually expanded to the same time length and a musical sound waveform obtained by cutting low-frequency components in respective sound waveforms except the musical sound waveform having the lowest pitch among the plurality of musical sound waveforms and also having high-frequency components extracted from one musical sound waveform, and a waveform synthesis means of putting together the plurality of musical sound waveforms generated by the waveform generating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
