<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving a property of an image display element, meaning, improving brightness of the image display element, reducing image seizure, reducing an average screen temperature, and improving temperature homogeneity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of improving the property of the image display element is comprised by involving a process of preparing an image display panel and arranging a heat spreader material with an in-plane thermal conductivity of at least 140 W/m×K near the image display panel, and a process of arranging an open frame to be used as a support member near the heat spreader material facing the image display panel.
