<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for finding device criticality in a computer system. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes; a step which constructs a component hierarchical graph by using computer configuration information; a step which labels a node of the component hierarchical graph with a redundancy attribute; a step which traverses the component hierarchical graph; and a step which determines whether a device loses an access path by inspecting the redundancy attribute in the component hierarchical graph. Further, one of a plurality of severity levels is allocated to a specified influence-receiving resource on the basis of a prescribed reference. The severity levels includes a low severity level, a middle severity level and a high severity level.
