<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card holder with an RFID skimming prevention function. <P>SOLUTION: A card 1 with a skimming prevention function comprises a metal sheet 2 and decorative sheets 3a and 3b laminated on opposite surfaces. The card 1 is carried about continuously along with a contactless IC card 4. When a card reader 5 or skimmer tries to read information recorded on the contactless IC card 4, an eddy current is generated in the metal sheet 2 and a demagnetizing field (B) 7 generated by the eddy current cancels a magnetic field from the reader 5 or skimmer to keep the contactless IC card 4 from being activated. The storage of the IC card 4 in the card holder 10 with the card 1 fitted thereon can prevent skimming in a carrying mode and facilitate the reading of the information recorded on the IC card 4 in a using mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
