PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an original document managing device to accurately perform version update of a document even though the document of each update version is returned to the original document managing device after the document registered on the original document managing device is brought forth to another document managing device and updated several times. SOLUTION: A CPU 101 of the document managing device discriminates whether or not a document is an updated version of a registered document according to a version management program in a main memory 102 when the document is inputted, associates the document with version identification information discriminating the version as the first version to register the document in a document management DB in a storage device 103 in the case of not being an update version of the registered document, and associates the document with the version identification information discriminating the version as the first version and with version identification information discriminating an old version of the unupdated document to register the document in the document management DB in the storage device 103 in the case the inputted document is an update version of the registered document. |
