PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing device reliably storing bills in a bill storage unit. SOLUTION: The bill processing device 1 has: a bill storage unit 100 for storing bills; and a bill conveyance mechanism 6 for conveying bills to the bill storage unit. The bill storage unit 100 has a receiving port 103 for receiving the bills conveyed by the bill conveyance mechanism 6; and a belt 150 brought into contact with the bills carried in from the receiving port 103, and is driven along a bill carrying-in direction.
