PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely compensate dead time of a DC/DC converter and to suppress fluctuation of output voltage. SOLUTION: A controller 1 of the DC/DC converter includes a voltage control part 2 generating a step-down control signal and a step-up control signal, which turn on/off a switching element, a reactor current operating part 3 obtaining an average current value of one period of reactor current which flows to a reactor 53 when dead time does not exist and a dead time compensation operating part 4 which performs a dead time compensation operation on the step-down control signal and the step-up control signal based on the average current value obtained by the reactor current operating part 3. The dead time compensation operating part 4 classifies the values of the reactor current which flows when dead time does not exist into five types and decides the dead time compensation values.
