摘要 A white balance control circuit calculates a first white balance correction value based on image data captured at light-emission timing of a flash unit and calculate a second white balance correction value based on image data captured at non-emission timing of the flash unit. The white balance control circuit acquires an image capturing condition corresponding to the image data captured at the light-emission timing of the flash unit or scene information obtained from color information of the image data captured at the light-emission timing of the flash unit. The white balance control circuit corrects at least one of the first white balance correction value and the second white balance correction value based on the image capturing condition or the scene information.

An image processing apparatus comprising: a calculation unit configured to calculate a first white balance correction value based on image data captured at light-emission timing of a flash unit and to calculate a second white balance correction value based on image data captured at non-emission timing of the flash unit; an acquisition unit configured to acquire a focal length of a photographic lens corresponding to the image data captured at the light-emission timing of the flash unit; a correction unit configured to correct at least one of the first white balance correction value and the second white balance correction value so that a difference between the first white balance correction value and the second white balance correction value decreases as the focal length of the photographic lens increases; a generation unit configured to generate first image data from the image data captured at the light-emission timing of the flash unit based on the first white balance correction value output from the correction unit and to generate second image data from the image data captured at the non-emission timing of the flash unit based on the second white balance correction value output from the correction unit; a component calculation unit configured to calculate a luminance component of external light and a luminance component of light from the flash unit based on a luminance value of the image data captured at the non-emission timing of the flash unit and a luminance value of the image data captured at the light-emission timing of the flash unit; and a mixing unit configured to mix the first image data and the second image data based on a ratio of the luminance component of external light and the luminance component of light from the flash unit.
