PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a rotary electric machine which makes error reduction and insulation compatible during twist molding.SOLUTION: A stator 20 for a rotary electric machine comprises: a stator core 21 including a plurality of slots 15; and stator coils 60 that are provided in the slots 15. Each of the slots 15 includes N (N is a positive even number) pieces of segment conductors 28. In the stator coil 60, twist molding is performed on the segment conductor 28 by a twist jig 400 in such a manner that the plurality of segment conductors 28 can be connected via welding parts provided at conductor ends 28E of the segment conductors 28, thereby configuring a bent part 28. The stator for the rotary electric machine is configured in such a manner that there is no insulation coating 30 on a narrow surface of the bent part 28K and that the insulation coating 30 is present on at least one or more other surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
