The invention relates to a lifting device for a set of independently suspended wheels of a semi-trailer wherein the wheels each are suspended at opposite sides of a central beam of the chassis of the semi-trailer by one or more link arms. The lifting device comprises a brace construction that, connected to a central part of the chassis, is movable in an essentially vertical direction, and comprises two lifting arms that extend from a central part in mutually opposite directions. The free end of each of the lifting arms is positioned under one of the link arms such, that in a lifting position, each lift arm supports the respective link arm such that the wheels connected are kept in a compressed condition of the suspension. |
