A mobile terminal and a quick start method and device for an application program thereof, which belong to the technical field of mobile terminals. The quick start method for an application program is applied to a mobile terminal. A correlation table of different regions of a side edge and different locations where an application icon is placed is stored in the mobile terminal. The method comprises: receiving a touch control gesture of which the touch control point is located in a side edge region (S100); when the received touch control gesture is a pre-set quick start gesture, querying, in a correlation table, a location where an application icon is placed corresponding to the side edge region where the touch control gesture occurs (S200); and starting a program of the application icon placed in the acquired location (S300). The method enables a user to arrange applications expected to be quickly started in locations where application icons are placed defined in a correlation table, thereby facilitating the user in quickly starting an application program in proper time, and improving the user experience. |
