The present invention relates to a louver-type exterior finishing material, and a construction method therefor. The louver-type exterior finishing material of the present invention comprises: a base frame which is fixedly installed on an outer wall of a building and has an open part at a position corresponding to a ventilation opening of the outer wall, the open part being in communication with the ventilation opening; and a plurality of slat panels which are installed on the front surface of the base frame so as to be vertically spaced apart from each other at a specific distance, and are arranged in parallel in the transverse direction while crossing the open part so that a front exposure of the open part is blocked. The present invention has advantages of being excellent in construction and utilization because simple installation on an outer wall of a building results in enhancement of beauty of the exterior appearance of the building, and integration with a louver function enables a ventilation function to be simultaneously performed.
