The present invention is a refrigeration device for a vehicle, which is for cooling the cargo compartment of a vehicle and which is provided with a power generator exclusively for: a compressor unit having an electrical compressor; an evaporator unit; and a condenser unit. A cargo-compartment outer side which is of the refrigeration device and at which the compressor unit and the condenser unit are disposed, and a cargo-compartment inner side which is of the refrigeration device and at which the evaporator unit is disposed, are in a state of being adjacent with each other with a cargo-compartment partition part interposed therebetween and are assembled in an integrated manner to a body frame, and the body frame is fit into an attachment opening that is formed in a refrigeration container of a refrigeration car, and as a result of the foregoing, the refrigeration device is attached to the refrigeration container in a state where the evaporator unit is disposed inside the refrigeration container and in a state where the cargo-compartment partition part abuts an area near the attachment opening of the refrigeration container. Consequently, in a refrigeration car of a cargo vehicle, for example, the refrigeration device can be operated even when the engine is stopped, the space required for installation can be reduced, and the structural components, time, and labor required for attaching the device can be greatly reduced.
