The present invention relates to an electromagnetic air compressor comprising: a first cylinder (11) and a second cylinder (12), which are arranged in parallel with each other in an axial direction, and which are hollow; a first piston (13) and a second piston (14), which have magnets (15, 16) having different polarities, respectively, and which are inscribed in the cylinders (11, 12), respectively, and are installed to be able to move linearly; a first center body (21) and a second center body (22), which are inserted between the first and second cylinders (11, 12) in an airtight manner so as to abut each other; and an electromagnet unit (32), which is coaxially inserted between the first and second center bodies (21, 22), which forms a magnetic force between the same and the magnets (15, 16) when supplied with power, and which is positioned between the magnets (15, 16), wherein the electromagnet unit comprises a center bush (35) and a wire (34) wound around the center bush, the center bush (35) comprises U-shaped bodies, one end of each body being bent inwards, arranged to be adjacent to and in parallel with each other, and the pistons reciprocate along the inner walls of the cylinders by means of the magnetic force between the magnets and the electromagnet unit, thereby generating compressed air. According to the present invention, efficient use of attractive and repulsive forces, which are formed between a piston and a center rod, generates an air pressure, ranging from a low pressure to a high pressure, and high-pressure air can be produced over multiple stages; parallel arrangement of electromagnets and utilization of a parallel inverter circuit unit improve the efficiency of the electromagnets; and the resulting compactness and optimization of the air system can improve the energy conversion efficiency compared with the prior art. |
