A heat exchanger of the present invention is provided with an inner tube in which a first fluid flows, and an inserting body that is inserted into the inner tube. Furthermore, the heat exchanger is provided with an outer tube, which is provided on the outer circumference of the inner tube, and in which a second fluid flows. The inserting body is provided with a shaft section, and a spiral protruding section formed on the outer surface of the shaft section. The first fluid flows in a spiral flow channel formed of the inner surface of the inner tube, the shaft section, and the spiral protruding section. With such configuration, the heat exchanger, which is compact, and has excellent cost performance, quality performance and heat exchanging performance can be provided.
