PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for a color filter, which has excellent dispersibility, a contrast ratio, lightness and heat resistance, excellent developability with an alkali aqueous solution, and achieves high resolution, and a color filter using the composition.SOLUTION: The colored composition for a color filter comprises: an acidic dispersant having a main chain that is a polyester having a carboxyl group derived from a tricarboxylic acid anhydride and/or a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and a side chain that is a vinyl polymer having at least one structure selected from a group of structures represented by general formula (1) to general formula (4); and a basic dispersant that is a graft copolymer (A) and/or a block copolymer (B) having an amino group and has an amine value of 10 to 350 mgKOH/g.SELECTED DRAWING: None
