PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can surely and correctly correct skew regardless of a type of a sheet (cut sheet, roll sheet or the like) and a length of the sheet.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 100 comprises: a conveyance unit 142 which is composed of a plurality of conveyance rollers 146-149 for conveying sheets P to a registration unit 141; a skew detection unit which detects skew of the sheets P conveyed by the conveyance unit 142; a skew determination unit which determines the direction and amount of skew; and a skew correction control unit which performs control to correct the skew in accordance with the direction and amount of the skew. A fourth conveyance roller 149 is composed of a plurality of conveyance rollers 149a, b arranged side by side in the main-scanning direction of the sheet P and can be driven independently of each other. The skew correction control unit reversely rotates the respective conveyance rollers 149a, b when correcting skew, and makes the rotation amounts different from each other in accordance with the direction and amount of skew.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
