PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine which can separate condensed water from a gas mixture of an EGR gas and fresh air.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine comprises an EGR passage 25, and makes a part of exhaust emission flow back to an intake passage 10. In the internal combustion engine, a swirl flow generator 28 for making a gas flowing in the intake passage 10 swirl with a center axial line C of the intake passage 10 as a center is arranged at a portion at a downstream side in an intake air flow direction of a connecting part to which the EGR passage 25b in the intake passage 10 is connected. A double pipe part 39 including a cylindrical inner pipe 37 in which a large number of holes 40 are formed at a wall and a cylindrical outer pipe 38 which is larger than the inner pipe 37 in diameter and remotely arranged outside the inner pipe 37, is arranged at a portion at a downstream side in the intake air flow direction of the swirl flow generator 28 in the intake passage 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
