LIQUID CRYSTAL APPARATUS USING HIERARCHICAL CHARGE AND DISCHARGE OF COMMON ELECTRODE AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal apparatus using hierarchical charge and discharge of common electrode and method for driving thereof is provided to improve screen quality and reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a common electrode drive circuit for hierarchical charging and discharging a common electrode. The common electrode drive circuit including a plurality of power sources, a plurality of discharge switches for transferring the power sources to the common electrode, a discharge switch for discharging a charge voltage of the common electrode, and a control signal generator for generating a control signals to control the switches.
