PURPOSE: A method for channel information memorizing according to the watching habit of a TV and a channel set up method is provided to reduce the power consumption as there is no need to operate the channel several times in order to move to the wanted channel by making the frequently watching channel to appear on the screen when the power is on. CONSTITUTION: The method according to the watching habit of TV and a channel set up method comprises steps of a first step of checking whether the channel is switched while watching TV by the viewer(ST1); a second step of checking the viewing time after the channel is switched (ST2) and a third step of ignoring if the viewing time is below a certain period and memorizing the channel in the memory along with the channel, program, day and viewing time if the viewing time is continued for a certain time period(ST3).
