APPLICATION SERVICE PROVIDING SYSTEM, SERVICE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, HOME GATEWAY, AND ACCESS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent unauthorized access to software components of a home gateway and to control software components of a plurality of service providers by each one unit of a service management device and a home gateway.

SOLUTION: A service management device 6 receives an identification code of a service provider, an identification code of a software component, an address of the home gateway 4 and a control instruction from a terminal 8 of the service provider, refers to an access authority storage section 66 and determines whether the received identification code of the service provider and the identification code of the software component are correspondingly stored or not. When determined that they are stored, the received identification code of the software component and the control instruction are transmitted to the home gateway 4 at the received address, and the home gateway 4 controls the software component of the identification code of the software component by the received control instruction.
