PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact communication device which makes the most suitable impedance switching at the time of transmitting operation and receiving operation by a simple circuit in a high speed and by low consumption power.

SOLUTION: An impedance converting element 16a is established beforehand in an optimum impedance component (Z1) for receiving optimum data in a receiving operation. The impedance converting element 16b is established beforehand in an optimum impedance component (Z2) for optimum data transmission in a transmission operation. In a receiver in which the receiving operation is carried out, a switching unit 15a is switched so that the impedance converting element 16a is connected to an antenna 11. In an transmitter in which the transmission operation is carried out, the switching unit 15a is switched so that the impedance converting element 16b is connected to the antenna 11.
