PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the displacement of an upper structure 2 and/or a lower structure 3 in a plurality of directions, in simple structure, in earthquakes equal to or more than a predetermined level.SOLUTION: A displacement restriction apparatus 1 is installed between the upper structure 2 and the lower structure 3 and restricts the relative displacement of the upper structure 2 and the lower structure 3 in earthquakes equal to or more than a predetermined level. The displacement restriction apparatus 1 comprises a first displacement restriction member 10 and a second displacement restriction member 20. The first displacement restriction member 10 includes a first engaged part 11 which is provided in a first direction, and first engaging parts 12 and 12 which are provided in counter to the first engaged part 11. The second displacement restriction member 20 includes a second engaged part 21 which is provided in a second direction, and second engaging parts 22 and 22 which are provided in counter to the second engaged part 21. Between the first engaging parts 12 and 12, the second engaged part 21 is disposed and between the second engaging parts 22 and 22, the first engaged part 11 is disposed. |
