An apparatus and a method for inputting/outputting a voice in a mobile communication terminal are provided to switch the mode of an acoustic transducer into a micro-phone mode and/or a speaker mode so that a user makes bi-directional communication. An apparatus for inputting/outputting a voice includes the first acoustic transducer, the second acoustic transducer, a direction detector(10), a controller(20), and a switching part(40). The first acoustic transducer is installed at the upper portion of the mobile terminal and has a micro-phone mode and a speaker mode. The second acoustic transducer is installed at the lower portion of the mobile terminal and has a micro-phone mode and a speaker mode. The direction detector detects the up/down direction of the mobile terminal and outputs a direction detecting signal corresponding to the detection result. The controller generates a switching signal based on the direction detecting signal. The switching part switches the modes of the first and second acoustic transducers into the micro-phone mode and/or the speaker mode.
