<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a raw material which can simply be incorporated into food lives and can prevent and/or improve obesity, and to provide a composition of industrially effectively usable mode. <P>SOLUTION: This obesity-preventing and improving agent is characterized by containing an aqueous ingredient of the defatted lees of fruits and/or seeds of Camellia japonica belonging to Theaceae, Camellia as an active ingredient.
