CONTROL METHOD FOR IPS ON SOC BY A MESSAGE BASED COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL AND WRAPPER USED FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An IP control method of a system on chip by a communication protocol and a wrapper thereof are provided to improve portability and reusability of IP by providing the abstraction step to a system designer and an IP designer. CONSTITUTION: An IP operated as a master and an IP operated as a slave are connected through a wrapper attached to an IP(S401). The wrapper attached to the IP operated as the slave initializes the IP operated as the slave according to the INIT command of the IP operated as the master(S403). The IP operated as the slave executes the designated operation according to the START command of the IP operated as the master(S409). The IP operated as the slave stops the operation according to STOP command of the IP operated as the master during the operation of the IP operated as the slave(S413).
