FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a concentrated dust control and anti-freezing agent containing a mixture of approximately 45-90 wt % glycerin, approximately 5-50 wt % water and approximately 2-15 wt % water-soluble salt. Freezing point of the agent is not above -20C. The invention also relates to methods of preventing agglomeration of material in form of particles and its adhesion to surfaces at temperature below the freezing point and preventing formation of dust from materials in form of particles, involving (a) preparation of a concentrated agent which contains approximately 45-90 wt % glycerin, approximately 5-50 wt % water and approximately 2-15 wt % water-soluble salt; (b) dilution of this concentrated agent to approximately 10-400 wt % water based on amount of the said concentrated agent to form a diluted aqueous agent; (c) deposition onto material in form of particles of a diluted aqueous agent in an amount effective for preventing agglomeration of the material and adhesion to surfaces (or for wetting the surface of the material thereby preventing formation of dust from the material). ^ EFFECT: cheap and highly efficient agent with low freezing point. ^ 19 cl, 2 ex |
