PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine having a tape feeder capable of reducing the risk of causing fractures in a timing belt by preventing any fluffy dust generated by cutting off fabric edges from attaching to or accumulating on the timing belt or a tooth part of a driving roller shaft. SOLUTION: This sewing machine having a tape feeder comprises: a bed; a cloth cutter located nearby capable of working in conjunction with the sewing machine; a driving roller, including a first toothed pulley, which holds a belt-like tape itself between and a driven roller; a second tooth pulley which is connected with the first toothed pulley via a timing belt; a motor which turns the second toothed pulley at a prescribed rotation speed as the sewing machine is driven; and a tape feeder which is disposed between the bed and the driving roller, including a movable knife for cutting the belt-like tape in cooperation with a fixed knife, and the sewing machine is provided with a blower outlet facing the inner circle of the timing belt and an air blower for blowing air through the blower outlet in conjunction with the movement of the movable knife.
