PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin for can coating which enhances workability and low friction force of a polyester resin, does not cause peeling of can coating even when can raw materials have been worked into various can shapes after coating, can reduce noise in a screw cap opening, and is excellent in workability at the time of coating.SOLUTION: A polyester resin for can coating contains (a) a polybasic acid component containing 10-30 mol% of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and 70-90 mol% of aromatic acid, and (b) a polyol component containing 60-90 mol% of a branch type diol component and 0.5-10 mol% of polyhydric alcohol.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
