The purpose of the present invention is to provide a small rotary blow molding device and a blow molding method suitable for manufacturing a small container. A rotary blow molding device 20 is provided with: a rotating wheel 25; a plurality of mold clamping mechanisms 30 disposed around the rotating wheel 25; a set of molds 40 attached to each of the mold clamping mechanisms 30 and including a first mold 41 and a second mold 42 having an accommodation part 46 in a cavity surface 43 thereof; and an arm 50 rotatably mounted on each of the mold clamping mechanisms 30 close to the second mold 42, for extracting a molded article from the set of molds 40. The arm 50 is formed so as to constitute a part of the cavity surface 43 of the second mold 42 when disposed in the accommodation part 46, the first mold 41 is moved relative to the second mold 42 and is clamped, by means of the mold clamping mechanism 30, and the arm 50 separates from the accommodation part 46 of the second mold 42 while holding the molded article when mold opening is performed to extract the molded article. |
