Disclosed is a method and device for limiting conversion coefficient, the method comprises: generation of quantization level for the conversion coefficient of the transformation unit by quantization of the conversion coefficient in accordance with the quantization matrix and quantization parameter. Limiting condition is determined, and the quantization level is limited in accordance with the limiting condition, to generate the quantization level processed with limitation. Limiting condition includes a zero limit condition. Quantization level is limited by fixed range of the n bits for zero limit condition, where n corresponds to 8, 16, 32, or the quantization level can be limited within the range from m to m-1 for zero limit condition, where m can correspond to 128, 32768 or 2147483648.EFFECT: technical result is preventing overflow quantized conversion coefficient by adaptive limiting the quantization level after quantization.16 cl, 1 dwg |
