PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing speed change shock of an electronic pneumatic transmission and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve the durability by reducing the shock applied to the transmission, and to improve the riding feeling and speed changing feeling by reducing the crashing sound of speed change. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing speed change shock of an electronic pneumatic transmission includes a magnetic element(52) mounted on one end of a shift rod(30) of a gear shift device(12), a linear variable distance transducer(54) sensing the shift of the shift rod by a magnetic field, and an electronic control unit(8) controlling air pressure supplied to cylinders by recognizing a signal of the linear variable distance transducer. |
