METHOD FOR EXPANDING MEMBERS OF FLEXIBLE ALERTING FUNCTION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for expanding members of a flexible alerting(FA) function in a mobile communication system is provided to overcome a size limit of an inter processor communication(IPC) message when location registration information of members designated in a group having the FA function is supplied, if a termination is requested in the group, so as to extend numbers of the members. CONSTITUTION: A signalling connection control part(SCCP) receives location registration information messages of flexible alerting(FA) group members from a message transfer part(MTP), among No.7 protocol stack elements of a mobile switching center(MSC). The SCCP checks length of the messages. If the length is over a maximum size, the SCCP divides the messages. The SCCP allows orders to the divided messages and transmits the messages to a transaction capability application part(TCAP). The TCAP checks the orders. If a message is a finally-ordered message, the TCAP performs merging processes for the divided messages, and transmits the merged messages to an application program(AP).
