The invention relates to building engineering and can be used for modifying room spaces. The aim of said invention is to extend possibilities to arbitrarily modify a horizontal room space limited by partitions, for example for temporarily increase the room capacity at a minimum cost. Said invention is characterised in that the inventive internal partition, preferably used inside a flat, is embodied in the form of a frame which bears a board on at least one part of the side surface thereof and is mounted by the lower chord thereof on wheels, preferably castors contacting with a floor surface and a top chord which is also provided with wheels, preferably castors for interacting with a ceiling surface. The ratio between the diameter of wheels of the lower chord and the partition width where the wheels are fixed is equal to 1: (3.0-25.0). The distance between the wheels along a top chord is equal or higher than the distance between the wheels of the lower chord, wherein at least one wheel is provided with a brake. The frame can be embodied in different shapes. The inventive movable partition makes it possible improve functional and operational capabilities of open-plan rooms in a short term without redividing and rebuilding the entire room.
