PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device smoothly and efficiently making transmission propriety control for a wireless LAN client terminal. SOLUTION: Various control packets used in authentication processing or address allocation processing are transmitted mutually between a wireless LAN client terminal 2 or a wireless LAN access point device 3, and an authentication server device 5 and an IP address allocation device 6, via a gateway device 1. On this occasion, while a terminal identification information and an authentication result unique to the wireless LAN client terminal 2 are acquired from the control packets, a terminal IP address is acquired from an address notification packet. Then, transfer propriety control is made for a transmission packet exchanged in packet communications between the wireless LAN client terminal and an destination host device, according to the terminal identification information and the terminal IP address, when the packet for transmission is transferred mutually.
