PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo image processing device capable of performing a highly accurate parallax calculation.SOLUTION: In a stereo image processing device 1, a first matching section 6 performs an image matching processing on a partial image of an identical object included in a reference image and a comparison image to detect a deviation of each pixel between the reference image and the comparison image on the basis of the result of the image matching processing. Subsequently, an inverted phase filter unit 9 in a second matching section 8 performs a filtering processing on a pixel value of the comparison image using an inverted phase filter which has a value in which order of the pixel value of the reference image is inverted as a filter coefficient with respect to the partial image of the identical object having the smallest deviation for each pixel. A peak detection section 10 detects a position of a peak where the output value of the filtering processing using inverted phase filter is the maximum to detect a deviation for each sub-pixel of the reference image and the comparison image on the basis of the peak position.
