PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability and low-cost oil leak detection apparatus which can be used over a long period of time, moreover enduring harsh environment, and can effectively detect oil leak from a large number of equipment such, as pumps and the like installed in a factory. SOLUTION: A sensor plate 5 which has a discriminating agent 52 on its surface, and a substrate tilt plate 2 which has the sensor plate 5 attached to its surface, are provided. Oil, leaking from an equipment 100, is guided to the sensor plate, whereby the discriminating agent 52 of the sensor plate 5 is dissolved, then the dissolved discriminating agent 52 adheres to the substrate tilt plate 2, and the oil leakage is detected by visually checking the trace of the adhering discriminating agent 52.
